India and Myanmar have sought to strengthen and encourage bilateral economic cooperation.
A joint appearance before news persons in New Delhi today, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna along with the visiting Foreign Minister of Myanmar U.Wunna Maung Lwin, said that India has traditional and cultural relationship with Myanmar.He said that trade links between the two countries are ancient and security interests are inter-twined.
He said India gives highest importance to bilateral relationship between the two neighbours. He said, issues of mutual interest will be discussed in the delegation level talks during the day.
The visiting dignitary said that Myanmar is looking forward to enhance the trade link between the two countries
