Samajwadi Party added 5 new photos. 6 hrs · Edited ·  उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री श्री अखिलेश यादव ने कहा है कि सरकार एसिड अटैक पीडि़तों की पूरी मदद करेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि उनके इलाज के लिए जितनी भी धनराशि की आवश्यकता पड़ेगी, वह खर्च की जाएगी। एसिड अटैक घटनाओं की भत्र्सना करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार ऐसी घटनाओं के अपराधियों के विरुद्ध त्वरित गति से कड़ी कार्रवाई करेगी। उन्होंने सभ्य समाज में ऐसी घटनाओं को रोकने पर बल दिया।
मुख्यमंत्री ने ये विचार अपने आवास 5, कालिदास मार्ग पर आयोजित उत्तर प्रदेश रानी लक्ष्मीबाई महिला सम्मान कोष के अंतर्गत रानी लक्ष्मीबाई वीरता पुरस्कार, एसिड अटैक पीडि़ताओं को आर्थिक सहायता के वितरण तथा महिला सम्मान कोष की वेबसाइट के शुभारम्भ के लिए आयोजित कार्यक्रम के दौरान व्यक्त किए। उन्होंने कहा कि देश की 50 प्रतिशत आबादी महिलाओं की है। अतः महिलाओं के हितों की अनदेखी नहीं की जा सकती।

Heading into the finals as the home favourite, young Srikanth played with great determination and poise to clinch the match against Viktor Axelsen of Denmark 18-21, 21-13, 21-12. Taking the court after compatriot Saina Nehwal beat Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand to clinch the women’s title for India, Srikanth sealed a grand double for India with a well-fought victory. The 22-year-old Indian shuttler had beaten the Dane at the Swiss Open earlier this month. With this win, Srikanth became the first Indian player to win the men’s title at the India Open.

Two ships dispatched to bring back Indians stranded in Yemen Mar 30,  12:57 PM
In Kerala, the state Minister of Non-Keralite Affairs and Information & Public Relations, K C Joseph today said that all steps have been taken to bring back Indians stranded in the strife-torn Yemen. Speaking to media persons in Kannur, the Minister said two ships have been dispatched to bring them back and accommodation facilities have been arranged at New Delhi and Mumbai for Keralites returning home.

He termed the allegations that Indian Embassy officials demanded money to help those stranded as baseless. The Minister noted that about 3500 Indian nationals are held up in the strife-torn country, of which 70 per cent are from Kerala. He appealed to nurses to leave Yemen at the earliest, without waiting for settlement of their salaries.

Jhelum crosses danger mark in Srinagar Mar 30,  12:48 PM

Jammu and Kashmir government today declared a flood situation in Kashmir Valley as Jhelum river crossed the danger mark in Srinagar following incessant rains. According to the Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control Kashmir, river Jhelum crossed the danger mark of 18 feet and 22 feet at Ram Munshibagh and Sangam respectively at 7 AM. Accordingly the authorities have declared that Kashmir is facing a flood situation and people living in low lying areas, especially in and around Jhelum, have been advised to move to safer areas.

Elderly persons and children have also been asked to shift to specially set up camps. Two houses sunk into ground at Chadoora area in Budgam district of Kashmir. 16 people are reported to be trapped inside.
