Modi begins his 72 hrs fast
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will begin 72 hours fast in Ahmedabad on Saturday morning. According to the official press release, the 3 days fast starting on his 61st birthday is aimed to strengthen Gujarat's environment of peace, unity and harmony.
State Congress has severely criticised Narendra Modi’s fast. Senior Congress leader Shankarsinh Vaghela and State Congress President Arjun Modhwadia announced that they will also sit on fast out side Sabarmati Gandhi Ashram with their supporters. Mr.Vaghela said that we will begin fast one hour before and end the fast two hours after Mr.Modi’s fast ends.
