PGTI Feeder Tour 2011 starts Rambagh Golf Club Jaipur

PGTI Feeder Tour 2011 gets underway with opening event in Jaipur and Seven events in 2011 with prize purse of Rs. 6 lakh each:Jaipur, May 2, 2011: The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) will stage the opening event of its Feeder Tour for 2011 at the Rambagh Golf Club, Jaipur, from 3-5 May, 2011. The Feeder Tour is set to stage seven tournaments in the 2011 season. Each tournament on the Feeder Tour will boast a prize money of Rs. 6 lakh. These tournaments will have a maximum field of 90 players and will be played over three rounds of 18 holes each with the cut being applied after 36 holes.
Mr. Padamjit Sandhu, Director, PGTI, said, “The prize purse for each event on the 2011 Feeder Tour has been raised to Rs. 6 lakh, and two top-60 order of merit players will now be allowed to play in the Feeder Tour events. The objective is to make the tour more competitive and help raise the level at this stage. We are confident that the Feeder Tour will provide an ideal platform for the budding talent in the country. I would like to thank the Rambagh Golf Club, Jaipur for partnering with us in our efforts to help build a solid foundation for the sport in the country and am confident of similar support from other clubs across India.”
